Blocking caller ID on outbound calls keeps your identity hidden.

Caller ID is a feature that identifies the caller when you receive a phone call from a landline phone or cellphone. In some cases the caller ID shows an incoming call as "Anonymous" or "Number out of Area". This is because the caller is blocking his number from showing on caller ID. Users can contact the phone service provider and have the outbound caller ID blocked for every call, or you can block your number on a call to call basis.
