I Am Stuck in eMachines Recovery Management

by Dustin Lamb

EMachines Recovery Management is a program on certain eMachines computer models that allows you to back up and restore the data on your computer. You may have several reasons for wanting to exit the program. These include the possibility that the program crashed and you cannot access your desktop, or you have finished using the program. You can apply these steps to most other programs on your computer as well.

Click the "X" at the top right-hand of the eMachines Recovery Management program window. Click and hold the title bar of the program to move the window into view if you cannot see the "X." Move onto the next step if the program still won't close.

Press "Alt," "Ctrl" and "Delete" simultaneously and release them. Click "Start task manager."

Click the "Applications" tab. Click the name of the program in the list. Click "End task" and "End now" if the program still does not respond.

Press and hold the "Power" button on your computer for 20 seconds to power off your computer if the program still will not close. Press the "Power" button again to restart it.
