MapQuest is a popular website that allows users to locate a business, search for a specific address and retrieve directions to most U.S. locations. Though users can directly save and print maps on MapQuest's site, copying and pasting full-size maps into alternative programs can be slightly tricky. To copy and paste full-size maps from MapQuest to your document, use your keyboard's "Print Screen" button.

Step 1

Go to "Start," click "All Programs" and open Microsoft Word. If you plan on copying and pasting maps into an existing document, open your desired document. Minimize Microsoft Word, and open your Web browser.

Step 2

Go to the MapQuest website. Type the street address, city and state in the available fields or search for a business. Next, click the "Get Map" button. If you plan on copying and pasting directions, click the "Directions" tab, enter the address or complete your search, and click "Get Directions."

Step 3

Scroll down the page and make sure the map is in full view in your Web browser. Click the "Print Screen" button on your computer keyboard, usually located in the upper-right side.

Step 4

Maximize Microsoft Word. Right-click an area in your document and select "Paste" from the context menu to insert your map. Enlarge the screen image of your map by clicking and dragging the small dots that are located on the corners of the inserted picture.

Step 5

Scroll to the directions section in MapQuest. Place your mouse at the beginning of the "Start" section. Next, click and drag your mouse until you've reached the end of the directions section. Right-click the selected text and click "Copy." Minimize MapQuest and maximize Microsoft Word on your desktop screen.

Step 6

Right-click an area in your word document and select "Paste." Save your document for future use.
